Cold war: Rani Mukerji avoids Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan?

Bollywood filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 50th birthday boasted the presence of almost all the celebrities from B-Town.

Bollywood glitterati was in full attendance to wish Bhansali and his birthday celebration was no less than an award show or a wedding bash as the celebs were dressed to impress.

But there is one actress, who supposedly is very close to Bhansali, skipped the party - Rani Mukerji. The most regular face at all his parties was missing.

The whole situation gets even more conspicuous because only recently Rani launched Sanjay Leela Bhansali's small screen debut serial 'Saraswatichandra'.

Both of them showered praises at each other and claimed to be best of friends. So why was Rani missing from Bhansali's bash?

It is highly unlikely that Bhansali did not extend his invitation to one of his favourite heroines.

Is it because of friend turned foe Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's presence? As we all know about the cold war between the two actresses since Rani Mukerji replaced Aishwarya in 'Chalte Chalte'.

And talking about replacement, we hear that Rani was not Bhansali's first choice to launch his TV serial. He wanted Aishwarya to come and grace the occasion but since Ash was not in town, Rani stepped in as replacement and saved the day for the filmmaker.

We are also aware of the rumours about Abhishek and Rani sharing a close relationship which was beyond friendship. Though Rani shares a good rapport with Amitabh Bachchan, she avoids Abhishek.

It was evident during Amitabh's 70th birthday celebration when she was present at the occasion and did not speak a word with Jr Bachchan but instead chatted with filmmaker Karan Johar, who was standing right next to him.

We hope these stars let bygones be bygones and end their cold war. After all they have all created their own happy zones, Rani with Aditya Chopra and Ash Abhishek with their daughter Aaradhya.

Almost everyone from Bollywood came down to celebrate including Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone.

Also seen at the party were actress Kirron Kher, music director Anu Malik, filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar, Karan Johar, actress Rekha, Richa Chaddha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Shatrughan Sinha attended the party with wife Poonam Sinha.

Star couples Hrithik Roshan with wife Suzanne Roshan and Sonali Bendre and Goldie Behl also attended the party. New star in the block Sushant Singh Rajput, who will be soon be seen in a Bhansali movie, was in attendance.

Bhansali debuted this year as a producer on TV. The first episode of his TV drama "Saraswatichandra" was aired on Feb 25, 2013 on Star Plus.
