Edible bridal magic in Abu Dhabi

Whether it’s a Big Fat Gypsy Wedding or simply something small and intimate, there’s sure to be plenty of ideas at the Bride Show Abu Dhabi, which runs all weekend.

Head over if you’re planning your wedding any time soon. There are over 300 wedding experts at the event, which feature 19 shows over four days, including presentations by Tony Yaacoub and Arushi. We will particularly look forward to Emirati designer Mona Al Mansouri’s one-of-a-kind dress inspired by her love for Abu Dhabi’s Bu Tinah Island. But perhaps the most delectable fashion statement will be from new exhibitor ChoCo’a, which will showcase a series of Lady Gaga-esque edible outfits on the runway, sending models down the catwalk in a wedding cake hat, a chocolate dress, an Hermes Birkin handbag cake and a leather dress embellished with brightly coloured macaroons.  Plus, organisers say Dh180,000 worth of prizes will be given away, including a Dh100,000 wedding package, diamonds, dresses, honeymoons and beauty treatments.
