End of drama? Bigg Boss couple Upen Patel, Karishma Tanna split

The latest couple to part ways in Indian showbiz after Ranbir-Katrina, Arbaaz-Malaika and Sushant-Ankita, is reality TV stars Karishma Tanna and Upen Patel.

The pair began dating in 2014 on the season eight of reality show 'Bigg Boss 8'.

The couple took their relationship to the next level last year, by getting engaged, after Upen, 33, proposed the actress on dance reality show 'Nach Baliye 7', where they were participants.

Karishma and Upen were also playing host of another (not so popular) reality show called 'Love School'.

Most might say, it was a split waiting to happen.

Their relationship survived as long as offers poured in for the two to participate in various reality shows as couple.

As soon as the offers started to dry up this relationship also breathed its last.

Upen Patel confirmed the breakup in a Twitter post, "Me and Karishma have both agreed to part ways. Thank you for all your love (sic)."

Though he did not reveal the reason behind the split, the '36 China Town' actor appeared quite dejected as he also tweeted, "2 much has come 2light & shown its true colours. love is never easy and when a certain foundation is broken it's impossible 2move forward (sic)."

Around the same time as Upen tweeted, came the 32-year-old actress' post on her page in the form of picture quote that read, "When you find no solution to a problem, it's probably not a problem to be solved. But, rather a truth to be accepted."

'Bigg Boss' has been a controversial show but it has also played cupid to many-a couples. Love, albeit short lived, is as much a part of the show as fights and mind games.

There has always been at least one couple that helps increase the heat in the house and also the TRPs of the controversial reality show.

Upen and Karishma did their bit in season 8.
