Spring baby for Inception's Marion Cotillard

Marion Cotillard is expecting her first child this year (AGENCIES)

Marion Cotillard is set to be a mum for the first time, the UK's Press Association reported.

A spokeswoman for the Oscar-winning actress confirmed the news that she and her boyfriend of three years, actor-director Guillaume Canet, are expecting a baby, due this spring.

The 35-year-old French actress worked with Guillaume on the 2003 French film "Love Me if You Dare".

Marion picked up an Academy Award in 2008 for her portrayal of troubled singer Edith Piaf in "La Vie en Rose". Her other credits include "Inception", "Nine" and "Public Enemies".

The mum-to-be is also said to be starring alongside Robert Pattinson and Paul Giamatti in David Cronenberg's upcoming film "Cosmopolis".

Canet, a French actor and director, was previously married to actress Diane Kruger.

In recent weeks, several celebrities have come out with announcements of pregnancies, including David and Victoria Beckham, "Black Swan" film actress Natalie Portman and singer Alanis Morissette.
