Formula One weekend in Abu Dhabi just got hotter.
Live entertainment company Flash Entertainment has announced three special late-night acoustic performances featuring international female stars Gabrielle, Sugababes and Corinne Bailey Rae.
Each will perform in an intimate set at the newly refurbished Longitude Bar at The Yas Hotel on Yas Island, taking place after each days’ action on the Yas Marina Circuit. With a small and exclusive capacity, guests will be only metres from the performers, offering an unforgettable experience, say organisers.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow.
“Whether people have spent the day enjoying the Formula 1 Grand Prix or have been out and about in Abu Dhabi for Yasalam 2010, these intimate acoustic performances add an element of diversity to our already broad programme,” says John Lickrish, Flash managing director.
“From huge stadium concerts to these small and intimate performances, Flash always looks to break boundaries and offer the region’s music fans something truly special.”
London-born soul singer Gabrielle performs on Friday November 12. The multi-platinum selling, Brit Award winner is best known for her hit singles; "Dreams", "Rise" and "Out of Reach”, which propelled her to fame in the early nineties and has continued producing great music and is working on her sixth studio album.
The Sugababes take the stage on November 13. The incredibly successful all-girl group from England – consisting of members Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen – have been named by the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful female act of the 21st century with six UK number one singles and eighteen UK top ten hits.
And closing out the event on November 14 is Corinne Bailey Rae, the multi-award winning British singer-songwriter and guitarist. She has won two Mobo Awards and an Album of The Year Grammy and Best Contemporary Jazz Album. She has sold over four million albums and her latest album, "The Sea", was recently nominated for the 2010 Album of the Year Mercury Prize.
Tickets are priced from Dh800 and go on sale on Monday October 18 at thinkflash.ae
