Aamir Khan rules Bollywood at 48

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan turns 48 on March 14, 2013.

He is also known as Mr Perfectionist who has impressed the audience with his acting, production and directorial skills.

Aamir began his film career as a child artist at the age of 8. He starred in his home production, made by his producer uncle Nasir Hussain. The film released in 1973 and was titled 'Yaadon ki Baaraat'.

Eleven years later, he made his acting debut with the 1984 release 'Holi', in a role that went unnoticed.

However, in the movie 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak' Aamir played the lead opposite Juhi Chawla and created history.

He launched his own production house called 'Aamir Khan Productions' and this production house has churned out several blockbusters like 'Lagaan', 'Taare Zameen Par' and many more.

His latest film was 'Talaash', which was again a smashing hit.

Aamir ventured into the small screen as the host of the talk show 'Satyamev Jayate', which dealt with social issues. This created quite a stir among the masses.

Aamir is currently shooting for Raj Kumar Hirani's film 'PK' in Rajasthan following which he will join his 'Dhoom 3' unit in Switzerland.

The superstar is married to Bollywood film producer Kiran Rao and the couple has a son named Azad Rao Khan.
