Pakistani actress Veena Malik has been a magnet to controversies since the time she came to India. Veena was a contestant on the fourth season of the famed reality show, ‘Bigg Boss’. High heels and intimate scenes with Ashmit Patel on the show brought the actress a lot of fame.

People in Pakistan criticised her whereas in India many came out strongly against her participation in the show. Veena had plans to buy property in India and settle down but in the present circumstances the actress finds Dubai as the safest bet.She says, “I have grown watching Bollywood films and love them a lot.

I wanted to shift my base to Bollywood as it is my dream to do Hindi movies. I spend a huge amount while staying in hotels; hence I wanted to buy property in India. But the Indian Government did not allow me, I have tried many official ways but none have worked. So I have now bought a house in Dubai as I am planning to shift there.” On that we question her, why not go back to her roots, that is, Pakistan? She says, “The reason for which I do not want to live in Pakistan is that the people there are reacting in a bitter way towards my work in Bollywood.

They are becoming too possessive about my personal life. Terrorism is another major reason

which scares me a lot. And I want to live in peace.”

After a stint in ‘Bigg Boss’, Veena is set to debut in Bollywood with a comedy flick titled ‘Daal Mein Kuch Kaala Hai’. “I am really excited about this project because Aanand Balraj has written the script keeping me in mind. He called me and told me that since the time he has seen me in ‘Bigg Boss’, he had decided to work with me. The movie has been made especially for me so I will try to give my best,” says the actress with enthusiasm. The movie also stars Shakti Kapoor and Vijay Raaz.

And as the actress is treading on the path of Bollywood, she remembers her bad days. “It makes me sad when I think of all the bad times that I have faced. People were tough with me and I have struggled a lot. But now things are changing for me. Bollywood is a wonderful place with lots of wonderful people and it will never disappoint you,” says Veena.

Expressing her love for India and Bollywood she says, “I always love to be in India. This country has given me a lot of love, respect and fame.

It is not that I don’t like to stay in Pakistan. I have done several shows and movies there too. But I am more attached to India. I am getting a lot of work here and people treat me as an Indian so what can be better than this. I want to work more in Bollywood.”

After her debut film, Veena will be seen in a bold avatar in ‘Zindagi 50 -50’ which will be made by Rajiv S Ruia and Rajan Varma. Sayali Bhagat and Rajan Varma are the other stars in the movie.
