J Lo's cousin heats up Bollywood

She's Jennifer Lopez's cousin, but instead of trying the 'American Idol' route to success, Caterina Lopez has gone Bollywood instead.

The Latina actress is set to make her debut with the film "Bhindi Baazaar Inc," where she performs a sizzling item number.

Caterina has a role in the film too -- she plays a bar dancer. The item number is a turning point in the film, revealing a suspense that takes the plot to another level.

She told media: "When they approached me for this sexy item number, I jumped up at it. And this gave me the perfect chance to come and work in Mumbai, which is the New York of India. I'd love to do a full-fledged role in a Bollywood film soon."

Caterina reportedly has a huge crush on the Bollywood Superstar Shahrukh Khan and has expressed her desire to meet him some day.

"Bhindi Baazaar Inc" is directed by Ankush Bhatt and produced by Karana Arora on Thoughts Production banner.

The film’s main cast includes Kay Kay Menon, Prashant Narayan, Piyush Mishra, Pawan Malhotra, Shilpa Shukla, Deepti Naval, Shweta Verma, Vedita Pratap Singh, Caterina Lopez and Gautam.

"Bhindi Baazaar Inc" revolves around gangs of Mumbai who have embraced pickpocketing as an art and a means of earning a livelihood. They use their intelligence as a canvas and their spontaneity as a brush to survive in this dangerous profession.

The film is set for a February 25 release.
