Kanye fans don't recognise Paul McCartney

Singer Kanye West may be the new icon in town, but Paul McCartney is truly a legend,  unfortunately some hip hop fans have been scratching their heads after the two released their joint venture ‘Only One’.

Paul McCartney belonged to the 'Beatles' music group but Kanye West fans are in awe with the star as they believe he gave Paul a chance to make it big. The song is dedicated to North, Kanye and Kim Kardashian West' s daughter.

After the music video released on Thursday, fans took to Twitter to credit their pop star for being generous to a "new-comer".

One of the fans OVOJosh wrote, "I don't know who Paul McCartney is, but Kanye is going to give this man a career w/ this new song!!"

Sharing a similar opinion was another fan @DuesNice who remarked, "Kanye has a great ear for talent. This Paul McCartney guy gonna be huge."

While Kanye West has remained silent , many ‘Beatles’ fans have vented out on the social networking site.

"The downfall of America’s youth has officially concluded with people not knowing who Paul McCartney is," added @dukeofhoops.

Another added, "It is impossible to walk through this world and not know who Paul McCartney is. How even?"

Gracefull ignoring the storm, Paul McCartney, the former Beatles front man took to Twitter on Friday and said, "For any of you guys who were wondering what I was doing with @kanyewest...Here it is: kanyewest.com Happy rocking new year!"

In an interview with Billboard magazine, he revealed he was also involved in the collaboration and there was more to come. A single 'drop soon' featuring himself, Kanye and Rihanna will be out soon.
