Kim Kardashian takes on Bollywood

Brace yourself fans because reality TV star Kim Kardashian could very well be shaking her famous derriere to a Bollywood tune or two in the near future; and her dancing partner could very well be none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself.

Founder Sheeraz Hasan, who is currently in Dubai with Kardashian and her mother Kris Jenner for the opening of his retail outlet Millions of Milkshakes, confirmed the news, saying: “I have a lot of connections in Hollywood and Bollywood, and it is time to actually merge the talent to bring about a universal brand.

“I asked Kim if she would ever be interested to star in a Bollywood movie and she hasn’t said no,” said Hasan, as Kardashian nodded in agreement. “So I gathered a collection of all of Shah Rukh Khan’s best films and have handed over the DVDs to Kim.

“She will hopefully watch them over this weekend and if all goes well, then we can get Kim and Shah Rukh to work together.”

Hasan added that he plans to set up a conference call between the three of them next week itself and hopes the news will be positive.

The reality TV star, who has spent plenty of time with cameras chasing her every move, won’t be the first or last Western celeb to crossover into Bollywood for a cameo.

Hollywood’s Denise Richards put forth a pout last year when she starred alongside Akshay Kumar in the film “Kambhakt Ishq”, which also saw Sylvester Stallone and Brandon Routh in cameos.

“Heroes” star Ali Larter starred opposite Salman Khan in “Marigold” a few years ago, which few people saw; while “Azaan” (currently playing in UAE cinemas) sees Playboy model and actress Candice Boucher in it; the actress was incidentally in Dubai yesterday for the film’s world premiere.

Mexican actress Barbara Mori’s Bollywood foray was probably more talked about in Bollywood, who hit headlines two years ago for her sizzling on and off-screen chemistry with co-star Hrithik Roshan.

But the film sank without a trace, as did “Blue”, which saw superstar Kylie Minogue croon a best forgotten song and shake a hip with Kumar in the process.

Let’s hope that Kardashian’s Bollywood debut isn’t too much of a damp squib like that of her predecessors.
