Oscar winning composer AR Rahman turns 46

AR Rahman - the music maestro who took Indian music across global shores – celebrated his 46th birthday on Friday. The winner of two Academy Awards, two Grammy Awards and numerous other accolades, the composer, singer and song writer thanked his fans for their wishes via twitter.

As the year 2012 sets in, the star yet again continues his journey of bringing in some more laurels starting with his forthcoming Hollywood film “Welcome to People” produced by Steven Spielberg.

Apart from the Bollywood movie ‘Ekk Dewana Tha’, AR Rahman for the first time will be joining hands with legendary producer Yash Chopra in a film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
