Karan Johar has introduced the first single from his movie 'Student Of The Year' 'Disco Deewane'.

The disco song is a reworked version of Nazia Hassan's original pop number which was a chartbuster.

Music composer Visha Dadlani tweeted: "Just got this from Sony: The Disco Song has gone Live in 58 countries on iTunes. More updates in some time. Enjoy! :)".

Promoting the song on Twitter Karan Johar wrote: "You know it...so sing it!! And throw your hands up and say...disco deeeewane!! Aha!!!"

It has been picturised on the lead cast Siddharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan.

With the 80's effect on the video, choreographer Remo picturised the disco song with the three debutants.

The set is a lavish dance floor which is typical to a Karan Johar movie.

'Student of the Year', produced by Dharma Productions, releases on October 19.

The original 'Disco Deewane' is a Pakistani pop album, performed by Pakistani singer Late Nazia Hassan and produced by the famous Indian producer Biddu, which was released in 1981.

It charted in fourteen countries worldwide and became the best-selling Asian pop record. It changed trends in music across South Asia, where it broke sales records, such as selling 100,000 records within a day of its release in Mumbai (Bombay then) alone.

In South Asia, where the music industry was previously dominated by filmi soundtracks, 'Disco Deewaane' was the first non-soundtrack album to become a major success across the region, paving the way for the emergence of independent Pakistani and Indian pop music scenes.

We upload both the adapted version from 'Student Of The Year' and the original by Nazia Hassan. Post your comment on which sound track (not the video) you like better.
