Amber Heard has claimed that Johnny Depp accidentally cut off his fingertip in a fit of rage, TMZ reports.

TMZ reports that Johnny's estranged wife Amber Heard - who has accused him of domestic assault - alleged that the incident occurred in March 2015 when the couple had a huge argument at a villa in Australia.

The website has obtained a picture of the gruesome injury, which has been submitted as an exhibit in her case against him.

It has been claimed that during the row, Johnny "smashed several bottles and windows and also slammed a plastic phone against the wall unit". Amber alleges that one of the items cut his finger.

She also reportedly claimed that Johnny then dipped his injured finger in a pot of paint and used it to write words including "Billy Bob" and "Easy Amber" on the wall after accusing her of sleeping with Billy Bob Thornton, which she denied.

She also claimed that he waited for almost 24 hours to get treatment.

It was previously reported that Johnny needed surgery on his hand after punching a wall during an argument with Amber.

The 53-year-old actor flew back to the US from Australia in March 2015 after sustaining the injury while in the country to film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales'.

Meanwhile, Amber's deposition over the weekend lasted seven hours.

The 30-year-old star was questioned under oath by her estranged husband's legal team in relation to her claims the 'Mortdecai' actor was abusive to her, and she was asked in "great detail" about allegations of past violence.

Amber was quizzed about a number of alleged incidents between her and the actor, not just the row they had on May 21, which signalled the end of their marriage after Johnny allegedly threw an iPhone at her.

During the questioning from the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star's lawyer, Blair Berk, Amber was asked why five concierges, two police officers and a number of security guards saw no signs of any sort of injuries following the alleged altercation in May.

The 'Danish Girl' star insisted she was injured and couldn't account for what other people saw.

The deposition had been delayed a number of times, with Amber held up in the UK and missing a hearing last week, while the previous weekend she had spent nine hours at Johnny's lawyer's offices but was not questioned.
