IIFA 2013: Madhuri Dixit vs Sridevi, Bollywood on fire in Macau

The annual IIFA Awards, India's Hindi language film industry Bollywood's glitziest awards ceremony, which have been held overseas for the last 13 years, is one of the world's most-watched annual entertainment ceremonies, broadcast to nearly 500 million viewers in 110 countries.

The grand night of IIFA 2013 kick started with Boman Irani and Vir Das' 'Santa Banta' act. Both the actors were hillarious.

Gradually, the beautiful ladies of the Bollywood industry including Madhuri Dixit, Jacqueline Fernandez, Dia Mirza and Sophie Chaudhary sizzled the dance floor with their rocking performances.

Known for her iconic dance moves, Bollywood dance diva Madhuri Dixit stole the hearts of the Venetian city with her debut at the IIFA 2013.

Dressed in a glittering lehenga choli, Sridevi gave a scintillating performance at IIFA 2013.

Vidya Balan was named best actress in a leading role for her portrayal of a pregnant woman on a worldwide search for her missing husband in thriller 'Kahaani'.

A crowd of thousands in the packed Cotai Arena sang and applauded as their screen idols performed on stage with dance troupes and pyrotechnics.

Deepika showcased some of her signature moves from the recent hit songs in her most successful films, including Angrezi beats, Tum hi ho bandhu and her most recent Balam pichkari.

The grand event was co-hosted by Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor. If you think that it's only our Bollywood beauties who stole the show, you need to watch out our Bollywood's handsome hunks, who too left no stone unturned to deliver their best performances on the stage.

The changing face of B- town fashion at IIFA needs to be applauded indeed. It was great to see the current crop of Bollywood heroines dressing differently from each other, following their own distinct styles.

While the last decade saw most of the tinsel town girls following the same designer or trend, the current batch can be seen trying hard to follow their own fashion calling.

Indian cinema is thriving commercially after the country produced almost 1,500 movies last year and the industry is expected to grow to $3.6 billion from $2 billion in the next five years, according to consultancy KPMG.

Leading the way is Hindi-language Bollywood, which took the "B" from its home in Bombay and won the hearts of movie-mad Indians.

The awards are held in a different country each year -- the next ceremony will take place in Tampa Bay in the US.
