Kim Kardashian West's assistant Stephanie Shepherd has said the star's Paris robbery ordeal was "terrifying".
The 36-year-old television personality was robbed at gunpoint in the French capital in October last year, and her assistant Stephanie Shepherd has said she struggled to "hold it together" in the aftermath as she was trying to ensure the safety of the brunette beauty.
She said: "It was terrifying. At the time, I had to hold it together and make sure everything was getting handled and that we could get Kim home as quickly and safely as possible, and obviously I can't even begin to imagine what she's gone through, what she's had to deal with."
Since the incident, security for all members of the Kardashian family - including Kim's mother Kris Jenner, her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, and half-sisters Kylie and Kendall - has been ramped up, and Stephanie says even staff like herself have become "more cautious".
She added: "Even I have been more cautious. We have alarms and security plans, and all that. Still, whenever I've had to stay home alone, I get a little scared. So I did get a couple of extra pepper sprays."
Elsewhere, Stephanie insists that life with the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - who has three-year-old daughter North and 17-month-old son Saint with her husband Kanye West - isn't always dramatic, as she praised rapper Kanye for being "so funny".
Stephanie told Refinery29: "I think people would be surprised to know how funny Kanye is. I know everyone thinks he's so deep and serious, but he's also so funny, like he has me rolling laughing and sometimes I'm like, 'Is this inappropriate that I'm laughing so hard?' He has these one-liners, and he's just so unfiltered, he makes me laugh so hard. But he's also truly the hardest working man I've ever met."
Kim Kardashian West shows support for Planned Parenthood
Kim Kardashian West and her sisters Khloe and Kourtney have visited a Planned Parenthood centre to show their support for "an amazing place".
The 36-year-old reality star and her sisters Kourtney and Khloe visited one of the group's clinics in Los Angeles to show their support for the medical service provider which could lose much needed funding if the US Senate approves a healthcare reform bill sent through by the House of Representatives.
Posting a photo of herself with her sisters and the Planned Parenthood staff, the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star wrote on Instagram on Saturday: "My sisters and I visited Planned Parenthood recently and learned that the House of Representatives forced through a bill that strips health care coverage from millions of people and raises health care costs, including Planned Parenthood patients. They are such an amazing place that provides so much to so many! #istandwithpp (sic)"
Khloe, 32, posted the same snap on her account and wrote: "Visited @PPLosAngeles yesterday and learned so much. 2.5MM rely on PP for care -birth control, cancer-screenings, STD testing and so much more!#IStandWithPP (sic)"
And the Kardashian sisters aren't the only celebrities who are standing with the non-profit organisation - which provides reproductive health services in the United States and globally - as singer Katy Perry recently revealed she donated $10,000 to help the service amidst the threat of budget cuts.
She said in a lengthy Instagram post: "I am making a public donation to Planned Parenthood for the teenage me who made several visits to first a clinic in Santa Barbara and then Los Angeles, CA to educate myself on my sexual health, a subject I had little to no information on because of my sheltered upbringing. I had no idea how things worked down there, and had no idea how to make a plan for them.
"Planned Parenthood educated me on my body and my reproductive health, so that I could focus on my dreams and using my voice until I knew the timing was right for me to make a plan to have a family. Since then, I have been able to focus wholeheartedly on bringing messages of strength and becoming a voice for others. Without this education, I may have had a different life path.
"That is just my experience, but I know Planned Parenthood's broader range of services can sometimes be the only medical support low-income families ever see. I know what it's like to need help. I came from a lower- to middle-class family and never grew up with the option of health insurance. I remember having 13 cavities as a teenager, and the best option my parents could come up with was to try and take me to Mexico because we couldn't afford anything in California.
"Now, more than ever, we all need to protect and create safe places for each other. I hope I can help inspire you to make a gift as well, and become a member and an ally."

Caitlyn Jenner doesn't speak to Kim Kardashian West
Caitlyn Jenner hasn't spoken to her step-daughter Kim Kardashian West "in a long time", as she believes the famous family has "a lot of drama".
The 67-year-old reality star - who was formerly known as Bruce Jenner before undergoing her gender transition in 2015 - was stepfather to Kim when she was married to the star's mother Kris Jenner, and has said whilst she believes Kim is a "wonderful person", the pair haven't had contact in some time.
Caitlyn said: "I love Kimberly, I think she's a wonderful person. But, well, to be honest with you, I really haven't talked to her in a long time. I've kind of let everything calm down. So I kind of stay, you know, I keep my distance. I'm out there trying to make a difference in the world."
And the 'I Am Cait' star says her decision not to speak to her step-children - which also include Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian - comes as she believes there's too much "drama" within the family which could interfere with the release of her new memoir 'Secrets of My Life'.
She added to the 'Today' show on Australia's 'Nine Network' on Thursday: "There's a lot of drama in the Kardashian family. This is my book about my opinions on things that had happened with me and my family. Any time I express my opinion, you know, with my family, there's always challenges in doing that."
The comments come after the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star said she doesn't "respect the character" Caitlyn - who has two daughters Kendall, 21, and Kylie, 19, with Kris as well as four children from previous relationships - is now showing after she included details of her relationship with Kris in her book.
Kim said: "That was my stepdad for so many years. She taught me about character and so much growing up, and I just feel like I don't respect the character that she's showing now ... like there's no need for a book. Tell your story, but just don't bash other people I just think it's not tasteful."
And the 36-year-old television personality's "heart breaks" for her mother Kris, who has to hear all these "untruthful" things.
She added: "My heart breaks for my mom because I feel like she's been through so much. Caitlyn's promoting this book and she's saying all these things. And I just don't think it's necessary. I just feel like it's unfair, things aren't truthful.
"I feel like it's taken her a really long time to be honest with herself, so I don't expect her to be honest about my mom now ... But it's just so hurtful. I wish her all the success in the world, but not at our expense."
Kylie Jenner receives oxygen for altitude sickness in Peru
Kylie Jenner was forced to get oxygen after suffering with altitude sickness in Peru on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old beauty documented her doctor treating her, who explained that there was nothing to worry about and that it is quite normal for people to suffer with dizziness and nausea so high above sea level, on Snapchat.
In one clip on the video app, her doctor said: "At this altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level, you can feel nauseous, have headaches, feel like you're having the worst hangover ever.
"Kylie's getting oxygen so she'll feel better."
The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star was in the capital of Peru, Lima, where she and her mother Kris Jenner, 61, had met children being treated at the Smile Train medical facility, which the brunette beauty is an ambassador of.
The non-profit foundation specialises in giving youngsters free surgeries to repair cleft lip among other things.
Prior to heading out to Peru, Kylie watched her boyfriend perform at Rolling Loud Festival in Bayfront Park in Miami, California on Sunday.
Kylie and her rapper beau were said to be "super into each other" when they were spotted getting "intimate" at Boston's Bijou nightclub last month.
The cosmetics beauty businesswoman - who split from 'Rack City' rapper Tyga last month after almost three years together - was seen by club-goers dancing the night away as the 25-year-old musician made an appearance at the hotspot for his birthday.
At the time, an onlooker said: "He was definitely looking for something intimate.
"They also talked a lot. Like, actually having a conversation. They were dancing at the club. They were definitely super into each other. He didn't really perform, he just showed up and partied. They left in the same car too."
The pair have reportedly been dating since they attended Coachella Festival together.

Kourtney Kardashian felt 'disrespected' by Scott Disick
Reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian has admitted she felt Scott Disick disrespected her during a family vacation in Costa Rica.
The 38-year-old beauty and Scott took their three children - Mason, seven, Penelope, four, and Reign, two - on a family break to the Central American country in January and even though they are no longer together, Kourtney thinks Scott's decision to invite another woman along was insensitive.
Speaking on 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians', Kourtney explained: "Scott and I are living our own lives, but we're here with our kids. We're here to just be a family and I don't understand why he would even think to invite somebody. It's hurtful and disrespectful."
Kourtney - who is reported to be dating Younes Bendjima - subsequently ruled out the possibility of rekindling her romance with Scott, saying he lacks the necessary "moral characteristics".
She shared: "I really don't think I could get back together with him. My kids deserve someone with more moral characteristics."
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Kourtney is "having fun" with her rumoured flame Younes.
The reality TV star and the former boxer have kept things "casual" thus far, but it has been claimed things are now starting to heat up between the duo.
An insider said: "Kourtney and Younes have seen each other several times in the last week. Its been casual, but they are really getting to know each other and having fun."
The pair met during Paris Fashion Week in October, and Younes was apparently "really helpful" to Kourtney after her younger sister Kim was robbed at gunpoint in the French capital.
The source explained: "He was really helpful and supportive during that time."
Kourtney has since grown fond of Younes, and will often arrange to meet with him whenever she has free time away from her brood.
The source said: "Kourtney really likes him and will text him to meet up whenever she has time without her kids."
