It seems Dubai is to stage yet another 'wedding' celebration; only this time, the festivities will be in true Bollywood style as Arbaaz Khan and wife Malaika lead their 'Dolly Ki Doli' with a glittering film premiere this week.
According to organisers, Sonam Kapoor and her band of jilted on-screen grooms will be in Dubai on January 21 for the world premiere of their latest romcom, produced by actor Salman Khan's brother and his wife.
Joining the Khan couple, along with actress Kapoor, will be the film's three leading men, namely Rajkummar Rao, Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma.
Also flying in from Pakistan especially for the event is Sufi singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who has crooned a song for the movie and shares "a close relationship with Arbaaz since 'Dabangg' days," said Syed Shuja, CEO of organiser, Ministry of Events.
Shuja added: "The red carpet event will be held at Novo Cinemas, Wafi City at 9pm, which will also feature the film director, Abhishek Dogra."
Dream Advertising CEO, Syed Imad added the film screening, which will commence at 9.30pm, is an invite-only event; however, organisers have said people can win entry via competitions run across social media platforms with Novo Cinemas and its own Facebook page.
Those unable to meet the stars in the premiere itself still have a chance to see Kapoor and her many 'husbands' at the film's after-party to be held at Armani Privé, Burj Khalifa, from 11.30pm.
Imad said: "Dr Zeus will be hosting the event also and performing live, along with Zora."
'Dolly Ki Doli' stars Kapoor as the protagonist who cons men into marrying her, before running off with their money on their wedding night. Things come to head when a cop (played by Samrat) is assigned to ferret out the con-team that works and succeeds in these heists.
The movie goes on general screening on January 22 across UAE cinemas.
