Nach Baliye: Sriman vs Srimati ends in a disappointing tie

Indian reality show Nach Baliye: Sriman vs Srimati ended in a dull climax, with the battle of the sexes locked in a disappointing tie.

When the concept was announced during the grand finale of ‘Nach Baliye 5’, expectations were high, but the final verdict turned out to be a letdown for the audience.

It was shocking when both teams – the girls and the boys – were declared joint winners.

While the show had unfolded, even the judges - choreographer Terrence Lewis and Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty - had picked their favourites, with director Farah Khan playing the peace-maker.

The show has gone through its share of ups and downs.

Initially, it was slated to run for six weeks but was later cut down to just three weeks.

It was reported that some of the contestants – TV stars Sargun Mehta, Karan Mehra, Gurmeet and Neelu Vaghela – were unable to get time off from their daily soap.

Moreover, it emerged that Gurmeet did not even inform the producers of his show ‘Punar Vivaah’ about his dancing escapades, leaving them upset. The producers even called it “lack of professionalism”.

Later, ‘Nach Baliye 5’ winners Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij staged a walk-out citing health issues.

Guess it was jinxed, after all!
