Rana Daggubati, Imran Khan, Tabu, Prithviraj charm fans in Sharjah
The tenth edition of Asiavision Movie Awards 2015 turned out to be a celebration of Indian cinema in the UAE on the auspicious occasions of its 44th National Day.
The crowded Sharjah Cricket Stadium was filled with celebraties from the film industry.

Many newcomers and actors like Prithviraj Sukumararan, Imran Khan, Nivin Pauley, Tabu, Jackie Shroff, Akshara Haasan, singing sensation Dr K J Yesudas among others took the stadium by storm.
Legendary director Shyam Benegal was honoured with lifetime achievement award at the ceremony.

The award ceremony was sandwiched between colourful dance and musical performances that kept the audience on their feet.
"It is the first time I see such a crowd outside India. It is a great honour to be taking part in this celebration of Indian cinema on the auspicious occasion of the 44th National Day of the UAE. Normally such a crowd is seen only in the Indian cinema award ceremonies held in India." The organisers said a crowd of not less than 30,000 attended the event that lasted for hours.

While Tabu won the award for 'Outstanding performance' for her work in 'Drishyam', Akshara Haasan bagged the 'Most Promising Newcomer of the Year' for her debut film 'Shamitabh'.
Rana Daggubati won the award for 'Best Performer of the Year' for his work in the epic 'Baahubali'.

Child star Harshaali Malhotra was also present at the ceremony and won accolades for her role in 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' while Jackie Shroff won an award for 'Brothers'.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, one of the prominent stars of south cinema received the best actor award.
Amala Paul and Parvathy bagged outstanding performance award and best actress respectively. Nivin Pauly won'Man of the year' award.

Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan and Tamil actor Vikram could not make it to the event.
Singer Hari Charan also missed the award ceremony due to the disastrous flood in Chennai.
