Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif's break-up getting messy; war of image?

Bollywoood star Ranbir Kapoor is on a mission to save his brand image.

His PR mercenaries has been working hard to ensure that he is on the social media to refute stories that damage his brand image.

They are now working overtime to refute negative stories that are being circulated to ensure that he is not being presented in bad light.

Ranbir wants to stay away from controversies and hence has even refused to work with Katrina Kaif for a commercial by a FMCG brand that was keen on casting the then dating couple.

The actor has often avoided ads with heroines doing just one with the pretty model and TV actress Pooja Sharma for Pepsi and another with actress Shruti Hasan for another brand.

But then he has avoided Bollywod heroines (read Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif) because he didn't want his brands to cash in his personal life.

Ranbir and Katrina were approached for the same Shampoo advertorial that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor were once part of.

A happy lovey-dovey picture at a Kapoor family event perhaps was reason enough why the brand got excited about their pair.

Ranbir was about to refuse the commercial when the news about the break-up started doing the rounds and the makers changed their mind.

Katrina lost out on the commercial due to the fall-out with Ranbir. Her much-hyped 'Fitoor' also flopped at the box office despite great expectations from the movie.

Katrina's PR is keen on clearing her image post break-up and making sure not to fan any negative publicity of her image at this point.
