Viewers were in for a treat when two former Olympic champions decided to get their Bollywood groove on for their routine at the 2016 ISU European Figure Skating Championships.

Contenders Tatiana Volosozhar (29) and Maxim Trankov (32), who were competing in the Short Pairs segment, decided Bollywood razzmatazz was the perfect way to wow judges.

The duo choreographed their routine on ice to the beats of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Nagada Sang Dhol’, featured in the film, 'Ram Leela'.

While Deepika Padukone won accolades for her on-screen routine in the film’s choreographed act, skaters Volosozhar and Trankov take it to a whole new level with some nail-biting axel jumps, dance lifts and even a death spiral, where the
man rotates holding his partner’s hand, who is circling him with her body low and parallel to the ice.

We reckon even Padukone and her 'Ram Leela' co-star Ranveer Singh would be duly impressed.
