Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac
The 'Lost in Translation' actress is expecting her first child with French creative agency boss fiancé Romain Dauriac, according to E! news.
Speaking about her desire to start a family in December 2013, she told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I would like to have my own family, that would be nice.
"They say it's never the right time and I am sure that's true, but I think you have to plan it like anything else.
"At some point it is something I look forward to."
Scarlett, 29, and Romaine, 31, got engaged in August last year after he proposed with a vintage Art Deco ring.
The 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' star has previously said she and Romain don't want to "rush through" tying the knot, as "being engaged is an exciting time to enjoy and to really savour."
The marriage will be Scarlett's second after she was wed to actor Ryan Reynolds between 2008 and 2011.
She has previously said of Romain: "I'm very happy. He's my buddy."
Selena Gomez at the Vanity Fair post-Oscars party
Justin Bieber calls Selena Gomez a 'princess'
Justin Bieber has called Selena Gomez the "most elegant princess in the world".
The bad boy 'Confident' singer posted a picture on his Instagram account of Selena - his ex-girlfriend - in her elegant Emilio Pucci dress for the Vanity Fair party following last night's (02.03.14) Oscars in Hollywood, with the short caption underneath.
Justin's move sparks speculation he could be trying to win Selena back for a third time.
The couple were first linked in 2010 but split in January 2013, only to get back together again briefly at the beginning of this year.
Selena has credited their initial split with helping to turn her career around, saying: "I turned 20, went through a really bad breakup, and realised I needed to pick up everything ... I was tired of feeling defeated."
However, once she got back with Justin, things didn't go smoothly and they soon split again, with Selena heading to rehab at The Meadows clinic in Arizona and Justin taking model Chantel Jeffries on holiday with him to Panama and Miami.
Justin, 20, has recently found himself in a number of legal troubles due to his behaviour in the US and his native Canada, and his uncle, Brad Bieber, thinks his actions are down to him missing Selena.
He said: "How would you feel if your first love didn't work out? How would you feel if that relationship went sour and then it became public and you had no chance to heal or sort out your own emotions and feelings? He is just a brokenhearted, lost little boy."
