As Dubai continues to grow as a global events destination, the next few months look set to be as busy as ever with a whole host of exciting events taking place across the emirate.
From music concerts to sporting championships, family activities to cultural events – there is something for all to enjoy, whatever your interests.
Dubai Calendar, the official listings of events in Dubai, highlights its featured events which are set to energise Dubai’s residents and entice visitors following the long summer break.
With the school holidays drawing to a close, the Back to School event, running from September 4-6 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, aims to turn the season into a time of fun and activities.
Designed to inspire, entertain and educate children and school groups through interactive activities, the event will provide plenty of fun for children and adults to enjoy from 10am-8pm daily.
A key highlight of the September calendar is the arrival of world-renowned and respected spiritual and positive speaker Deepak Chopra. Originally from India, Chopra has travelled the world inspiring audiences and on September 17. he will grace the stage at the Madinat Arena with his seminar ‘The Future of Wellbeing’.
For music lovers, the newly-launched Dubai Music Week, taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 24-29, promises to stimulate the music industry in the region with global leaders gathering for discussion and debates and headline international acts including Will.i.am and Timbaland.
The Kobe Bryant Health and Fitness Weekend on September 27 is in support of diabetes awareness and will be held at the American University in Dubai.
Highlights include a celebrity basketball match and Slam Dunk competition both overseen by LA Lakers legend Kobe Bryant himself.
Other international stars visiting Dubai during September include classical vocalist Ustad Rashid Khan (September 13) and Pareh Rawal, one of India’s most popular comic actors (September 26-27). And local stars are sure to shine at both the Dubai International Dance Festival (September 26-28) and the final round of the Dubai Fitness Championship (September 12-14) Looking ahead, the bustling events scene looks set to continue into October and November with a whole host of concerts, exhibitions and activities to enjoy:

• Oct17 –Nov 8: Considered one of the biggest sporting events in the UAE, the FIFA U-17 World Cup will take place in venues across Dubai
• Nov 14-17: Watch Europe’s top 60 golfers battle it in the DP World Tour Championship out for a share of the staggering $11.75 million prize money
• Nov 15: Grammy Award winning pop Sensation Alicia Keys brings her ‘Set the World on Fire’ Tour to Dubai at the newly expanded Dubai Media City Amphitheatre
• Nov 17-21: The Dubai Air Show, the fastest growing air show in the world, is back for the 24th year with over 130 planes from all over the world for visitors to see
• Nov 28-30: The Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens, the largest annual sporting event in Dubai, is back for the 44th year, over 90,000 attended last year so get your tickets early
