With just 10 days to go for the star-studded Indian Premier League matches to kick off in the UAE, Emirates 24|7 can reveal some of the insider details on the pre-opening gala dinner that will be hosted by superstar Shah Rukh Khan on April 15 at the majestic Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi.

Joining the Bollywood king on stage will be two of the Indian film industry’s leading ladies, namely the mesmerising Madhuri Dixit, along with the five-hit wonder woman Deepika Padukone.

The gala dinner will be attended by VIPs, dignitaries, Bollywood stars and some of the top names of the global cricketing world.

However, the highlight of the event will be three stars on stage.

According to a well placed source from the organisers, Shah Rukh will be interacting with the attendees in an impromptu set-up reminiscent of his ‘Access All Areas’ concert that was held in Dubai last year.

The source said: “Shah Rukh will act as the host of the evening and will keep the crowd on their toes with his impromptu act and some dance moves. His energy can be very contagious.

“We will also have Madhuri Dixit joining him on stage, who will be a part of Shah Rukh’s interaction and will also be performing a little act of her own.”

Also expected to join the duo is Shah Rukh’s ‘Happy New Year’ co-star Deepika, who will probably shake a hip to a ‘Lungi Dance’, while showing off her dancing prowess further to her hit tracks from ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’.

As the co-owner of the team Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh is also expected to attend the first match between his team and the Mumbai Indians the following day at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.

Tickets of the IPL 7 matches are already on sale. The cricket matches will be held for the first time across the UAE, namely Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah, from April 16 until 30; following this, the teams will head to India to continue the matches.
