This beauty wins Model of the Year

Gigi Hadid - girlfriend of Australian singer Cody Simpson - was named model of the year at the The Daily Front Row Fashion Awards in Los Angeles last night (23.01.15).

Gigi, 19 - who attended the ceremony with her beau - looked stunning in a rose pink figure-hugging dress as she made her way into the event and admitted it was an "honour" to win the award.

She said: "This award is such an honour. I can think of a hundred people that I could give it to instead. I might not be the best model, but hopefully I'm getting this award because people like to work with me. I work really hard on being nice.

"I've always respected nice people. It doesn't matter how pretty you are if everybody hates working with you. I like making friends on set, and I make an effort to be nice to everyone, whether they're the biggest photographer in the world or doing the catering. You never know when those people will be back in your life."

Despite having walked for Chanel, fronted campaigns for Guess and starred on the cover of numerous fashion titles, Gigi admitted she still gets anxious before shows but is learning to control her nerves.

She told The Daily: "I get less nervous with every show, which is why the Chanel show was so great. Every runway is different - you don't know what shoes you're walking in, or whether they are going to be painful or too big. Or maybe the floor is slippery!"

Gigi was joined at the event by a host of celebrities including Kanye West, Katy Perry and Rihanna - who dressed in a revealing sequin frock to match her fashion designer pal Jeremy Scott, who took home the Womenswear Designer of the Year award.

Other winners on the night included Ilaria Urbinati for Menswear Stylist of the Year, Calvin Klein's Italo Zucchelli for 'Menswear Designer of the Year and August Getty for Emerging Designer of the Year.
