Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's fans will not see the star on the silver screen the whole of 2016. The actress has been busy shooting in the West and is currently gearing up for the release of her first Hollywood film 'xXx: The return of Xander Cage' opposite Vin Diesel.
But she will be back with a bang on 2017 with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati'.
After much speculations, music director Shreyas Puranik has confirmed that Deepika would star in Bhansali's ambitious project alongside rumoured boyfriend Ranveer Singh.
Puranik took to his Twitter handle to announce the news and also revealed that he is working on the music of the film.
Cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee also dropped a hint that Ranveer will be working with Bhansali for the third time.
After the success of 'Ram-Leela' and 'Bajirao Mastani', the upcoming project, which is supposedly based on Alauddin Khilji's obsession for Padmavati, the queen of Chittor, will mark the third collaboration of the trio - Bhansali, Deepika and Ranveer.
Reportedly, Prakash Kapadia, who earlier scripted 'Bajirao Mastani', has reportedly been roped in to write 'Padmavati.' The shooting of the movie will go on floors in September.
Let us hope 'Padmavati' too fares well at the ticket window like their previous projects.
