Will Bachchans end war with the Kapoors?

Will Abhishek and Amitabh Bachchan agree to be a part of a Balaji Motion Pictures project? The two have been approached with an interesting script which Balaji is keen on producing. Will they end the long cold war between Jeetendra and Amitabh Bachchan by working in the film?

Not long ago, Jeetendra and Jaya Bachchan met warmly at a social do where Tina Ambani was also present. Jeetendra and Jaya had starred together in the Gulzar film 'Parichay'.

Jeetendra and Amitabh Bachchan were never rivals, but once the attention of the enigmatic Rekha diverted from Jeetendra to Bachchan, the media in the seventies started portraying them as arch rivals for a long time.

'Gehri Chaal', made in 1973, is the only film starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jeetendra along with Hema Malini and this was made before the two were declared rivals.

Some time ago when Jeetendra’s daughter Ekta Kapoor along with director Neeraj Pandey of 'A Wednesday' fame had approached Abhishek Bachchan to star in the lead role in the film 'Special 26', the actor refused. The said role was later picked up by Akshay Kumar.
