In a shocking incident, Telugu cinema hero Uday Kiran died by committing suicide. Initial reports say that the actor died after taking the extreme step in his flat at Srinagar colony (Hyderabad) on Sunday night.
Indian daily Hindu reported that Kiran's wife, Vishita, rushed him to Apollo hospital at Jubilee Hills where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Uday Kiran shot to fame with the films like 'Chitram', 'Nuvvu Nenu', 'Manasantha Nuvve', 'Nee Sneham', etc. The actor was last seen in the action entertainer 'Jai Sriram'.
Kiran married to his longtime friend Vishita on October 24 last year and ended his life 20 days ahead of his 34th birthday.
He was alone at home at the time of the incident. Vishita was out and grew suspicious when Kiran didn't respond to her calls and rushed home only to find his body hanging to the ceiling in a room.
Many colleagues and friends rushed to the hospital to pay homage to the actor.
Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor expressed his shock on hearing the news, he wrote on twitter, "Shocked! Telugu actor Uday Kiran “ends life”, had met him a few times & worked in 2 remakes of his films!"
Filmmaker Venkat Prabhu wrote, "Cant believe!! Rip uday kiran!!"
Co-star Vimala Raman also expressed her grief: "R.I.P Uday Kiran my first costar in my career and a sweetheart ... U will be missed."
Actress Priya Mani wrote, "Woke up to hear the news of Uday Kiran!!!!R.i.p Uday!!!!one of the nicest and friendliest guys I knw!!!!deeply saddened by the news!!"
Filmmaker Madhura Sreedhar: "Met Uday Kiran for a coffee 3 months back. He looked so confident to bounce back! Very shocking to know that he is no more! God!!!!!"
