Filipina's web chat with fake CID officer turns dangerous

An Iranian allegedly had forcible sex with a Filipina whom he had met on a chat website by claiming an Emirati CID by dragging her leg into a flat after claiming to introduce her to his cousin and his girlfriend.

“On a chat website, I met a man who claimed his name is ‘Mansour’ and that he was an Emirati working as a CID officer. We continued talking and in September last year, he passed by me in the office. I rode in his car and we went to a restaurant and then he dropped me back home after I told him about my cousin’s visa problem.

“As he said he worked for the CID, he claimed that he could solve the problem. On October 6, he called me in the morning and asked to meet to explain how my cousin’s problem can be solved. He came to my office at 7.55pm and we went together. He said that he will take me to the desert for a walk. Then he received a phone call and he replied in Arabic which I do not understand.

“After the call, MA, 34, told the victim that his cousin had a Filipina girlfriend who is willing to meet her .He also claimed that his cousin had ordered a dinner for the four of them so that they would meet in his flat. At first, I declined to go to his cousin’s flat, but as he insisted I accepted. As we reached International City, I asked him to ask his cousin and his girlfriend to come down the building so we would meet. But he insisted that we should go to up to the flat as they were waiting for us.

“When we reached the flat, I was shocked to see him taking out a key from his pocket and opening the door. When I told him that his cousin should have opened the door, he pulled me by my shirt into the flat. I tried to run away but he pulled me back and pushed me to the bed. When I resisted him, he beat me while pulling down my trousers and underwear. After he finished his sexual assault, I shouted at him and he shouted back.

“I put on my dress and he dropped me back home while asking me to forgive him. After I got off his car, I went to the police station and reported the crime,” the victim told prosecutors.

Police arrested MA, 34, who proved to be Iranian and the victim recognised him when shown to her in an identification parade. Forensic reported sperms of the accused in and on the victim’s body and underwear in addition to bruises on her body.

The Court will reconvene on March 5.
