Jacky's Electronics offers 300 BenQ LCD TVs

Jacky’s Electronics, multi-brand consumer electronics retailer, has teamed up with BenQ, global leader in networked lifestyle solutions, to raffle off more than 300 32-inch LCduring Gitex 2010.

For just about Dh250, all Gitex Shopper visitors who will buy at Jacky’s will stand a chance of winning the BenQ LCD TV at a raffle draw conducted onsite.  Furthermore, eight 42-inch BenQ LCD TVs will be given away to customers purchasing at Jacky’s outlets during this period.

“To celebrate our 40th anniversary, we have partnered with BenQ to reward shoppers at Gitex with LCD TVs every 15 minutes. We are optimistic that we repeat the success we had last year,” said Ashish Panjabi, Chief Operating Officer.

Manish Bakshi, General Manager, BenQ for MEA, added: “We are pleased to partner with one of the emirates’ most renowned retailers, Jacky’s, once again for Gitex 2010. This year, we are giving Gitex shoppers more chances than ever before to win BenQ’s recently launched LCD TV SC3211, which offers the ultimate LCD viewing experience. Our innovative and feature-packed lifestyle products provide the perfect solution for our increasingly digital-savvy consumers.”

Among the products the company is highlighting are the Tablets from different brands such as the Apple’s iPad and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab. Apart from the iPhone 4, which has already proved to be a major hit in the smartphone segment since it’s launch in September, the Android platform is also expected to grow rapidly this year with handsets from Samsung, HTC, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and LG expected to do well. 

Jacky’s will also sell the BlackBerry Torch and Pearl models following the lifting of the BlackBerry services suspension in the UAE.

In the laptop segment, Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processors look set to dominate with a brand new line-up of laptops from the likes of Acer, Dell, HP, LG, Packard Bell, Samsung, Sony Vaio and Toshiba.

Jacky’s has also partnered with many other leading brands for a whole host of price-based and bundle-based offers which will be available during the Gitex Shopper’s period only.

“As one of the few exhibitors with a presence in all three halls of the Airport Expo, we have planned to carry most major product categories in each hall. With BlackBerry available again, we are expecting an intense competition within the smartphone segment,” Panjabi furthered.

“As we are largely dependent on the consumer market, we are expecting to see more demand from local consumers. Latest products such as smartphones, laptops, MP3 players, digital cameras and tablets are growing in popularity. With also the opening of more stations on the Dubai Metro, we hope more visitors will be able to visit the Airport Expo venue as more visitors the venue can attract, the more we can expect to see a growth in unit sales,” he said.

In addition, credit cardholders of ADCB, Barclays, Citibank, Emirates NBD, HSBC and Mashreq can avail the zero per cent interest instalment plans during the exhibition. In a special tie-up with Citibank, free air tickets from Jet Airways are at stake for Citibank cardholders shopping at Jacky’s.

Meanwhile, the company will also support 2010 Dubai Cares ‘School Feeding’ Campaign during Gitex Shopper. The company is donating a fixed sum for each invoice raised during Gitex Shopper which will go towards providing one year of school feeding for children across the world.
