Dubai ranked first regionally and 15th globally for technology jobs

Dubai has been ranked first in the Middle East and North Africa region and 15th in the world in a list of the best cities in the world to work in the technology sector, published by US-based Cloud Zero, a cloud computing company.

The company based its ranking of cities on a set of key evaluation factors, such as the total number of available jobs in the technology sector, average salaries for workers in these jobs in each city, the number of technology companies in each city, the speed of broadband internet, in addition to a set of other evaluation factors related to housing rents in each city.

Dubai won first place regionally and 15th globally in the list after the total number of available jobs in the technology sector in Dubai reached 983 jobs, and the average salaries for these jobs in Dubai reached $70,241, while the total number of technology companies in the city reached 2,373 companies. The average speed of broadband internet in Dubai reached 238.28 Mbps.

Dubai outperformed all Canadian, Australian, and German cities and also outperformed all Swiss cities except Zurich. Washington, D.C. topped the list, followed by Tokyo in second place, and New York in third place. Dallas, Hong Kong, Zurich, Copenhagen, São Paulo, Seoul, London, Paris, and Bangkok came in third to 13th place, respectively.
