Gizzi Erskine will not only feature her prominence and talent as chef, but will also tour food stalls sampling the delicious home grown food.
Sherif Abaza, co-founder of Streetnights, said, “At Streetnights, we are always going for the fun factor, so not only is the celebrity chef going to cook for us, but she will also hit the decks to spin a rare DJ set on Thursday night.”
The festival will also feature its Night Bazaar, a key highlight that attracts some of the most unique local vendors. Moreover, children play areas and creative fun activities are available for family entertainment and leisure.
Abaza continued, “We have a little bit of everything for everyone in the city – whether they are residents or visitors. We are very particular that the food trucks and the vendors at the Night Bazaar are home-grown small businesses. Some (of our vendors and trucks) have supported and returned for each of our events and that is great testimony to the continued popularity of the event. This year with the added attraction of the cooking demo and a Thursday-Friday festival, we are giving a lot of the employees of businesses around the Business Bay area to kick-start their weekend with our Festival.”
Commenting on the Annual Bboy competition, Co-founder DJ Lobito said, “We have seen a great deal of talent at each of our festivals and are looking forward to a very colorful and spectacular competition this year too. The Street Nights Bboy competiton has become a staple of the regional BBoy battle scene and the best from the region come to us every year to compete for the bragging rights, as well as, of course the cash prize.”
Streetnights has drawn crowds of over 12,000 to its previous events and expects to exceed this at this event. To those who have not had the chance to enjoy streetnights, try not to miss it this time.
