Dubai is preparing for New Year's celebrations in Burj Khalifa, through its huge annual show, which is watched by hundreds of thousands of people who join the joyful celebrations to live an unforgettable atmosphere on this night.

In this year's session, Emaar is holding a stunning show of lasers, lights and fireworks in downtown Dubai to welcome the year 2023.

Whether you have booked a table in a downtown restaurant or you want to attend shows on the night of Dec.31, there is no doubt that it will become an unforgettable memory in your memory.

Here are some tips to help you plan the evening:

  • Bookings

If you want to enjoy watching the dazzling shows on New Year's Eve from a restaurant or cafe, you must book in advance due to the high demand. You can book directly with the desired hotel, restaurant or cafe, which will provide you with the necessary information about the procedures for that night, entry requirements, and more.

As for those wishing to witness the laser, light, music and fireworks shows from the streets of Downtown Dubai, they will not need reservations, registration or purchase of tickets, as viewing will be on a first-come, first-served basis — which is why we advise everyone to arrive as early as possible.

  • Transportation and parking

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard will close around 6pm, so visitors with reservations that include hotel or restaurant parking should arrive before this time.

Car parking is available in The Dubai Mall until the maximum capacity is reached, and we recommend arriving early, given the possibility of running out of available spaces at any time. It is not possible to enter the car parks after the surrounding roads are closed.

Taxis will operate as normal before the roads are closed, but they will not be able to enter Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard after the roads are closed.

Roads are expected to start opening between 1 and 2 am, as determined by Dubai Police and the Roads and Transport Authority.
Cars parked in hotels, apartments, restaurants and cafes in Downtown Dubai and The Dubai Mall will be able to leave after the roads are opened.

There will be five points for visitors to access the areas designated for watching events on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard:

  • Behind the Operations Center in Downtown Dubai
  • Behind Vista Tower
  • Near Emaar Square, next to the Boulevard Plaza building
  • Opposite Address Boulevard
  • Opposite the Address downtown

The upcoming night's events will include unique lighting shows around the Burj Khalifa, developed by Emaar, illuminating the Dubai sky and setting a new record for the largest laser panel, which will have the Burj Khalifa sparkling at its center.

In addition to the exciting light and fireworks shows, attendees watch the harmonious performances of the Dubai Fountain.
