Essa Kazim is Chairman of DIFCA

Under the directive of Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and President of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, has been appointed, in addition to his role as a Governor of DIFC, as Chairman of the DIFC Authority Board of Directors, along with six other board members, for a term of two years.

Sheikh Maktoum thanked Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, former Chairman of the DIFC Authority for his efforts in realising the objectives of the DIFC, noting that Al Ghurair will remain as the Vice-Chairman of the DIFC Higher Board of Directors, according to the Government of Dubai Media Office.

Commenting on the appointments, Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC and Chairman of DIFC Authority said: "On behalf of DIFC Authority’s new Board of Directors, I would like to extend my gratitude and appreciation to Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for his continuous support in establishing and maintaining DIFC’s position as a leading financial hub in the region and the world".

 "Under Sheikh Maktoum’s leadership and guidance, DIFC has thrived as an internationally recognised center for financial and business services.

The new members of the DIFC Authority Board of Directors are Hussain Al Qemzi, Sameer Al Ansari, Salem Al Sharhan, Rashid Al Jarwan, Abdulla Bin Kalban and Hesham Al Qasim.
