Value of stocks bought by foreign investors on DFM reach Dh2.5bn

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, from January 5-9, 2014, rose to Dh2.34 billion, while value of stocks they sold rose to Dh2.5bn, with net foreign investment on the market reaching Dh173.6 million during the period, as aggregate sell.

Value of shares bought by foreigner investors comprised 40.8 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period, while value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period represented 43.8 per cent of stocks traded during the period, a DFM press release said.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors during the week reached Dh1.82bn, comprising 31.8 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached Dh1.8bn, representing 31.5 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net institutional investment on the market reached Dh15.9 million during the period, as an aggregate buy.
