14-year-old molests Chinese woman

Colombo - A 14-year-old schoolboy, arrested by Dehiwala police for sexually abusing and molesting a Chinese national, has been released on bail of SLR200,000 by Mount-Lavinia magistrate court, ‘Mawbima’ reports.

The Chinese woman, who works in a tourism company, had been lodging in a rented room at the suspect’s home and on Sunday (24), the suspect sexually abused her after entering her room and had told her to massage his body.

When she refused to obey by his request, he slapped her and she lodged a police complaint.

Italian arrested for molesting underage boy

An Italian national had been arrested on suspicion by Negombo police for molesting an underage schoolboy in a tourist hotel, ‘Mawbima’ reported.

Police said that the suspect has been identified as Sirisilu Pasqual (55), father of two, who has been living alone after separating from his wife.

On Saturday the victim had gone to school and his parents, when he did not return home in the evening, searched for him.

Later, after he returned home, he said two persons approached him and took him towards the beach in a trishaw before handing him over to another person staying in a tourist hotel at Eththukala area in Negombo.

Negombo Hospital reports showed that the victim had been molested.

A trishaw driver and the Italian national have been arrested and remanded to custody till February 5.
