15-year-old girl left school in Bangladesh for Dh2,300 UAE job…

The Dubai Criminal Court has begun hearing the case of three Bangladeshis charged with human trafficking, ‘Emarat Al Youm’ newspaper reports.

The three suspects intentionally lured two minor girls, also Bangladeshi, telling them that they found jobs for them in UAE.

When the two minor victims reached the UAE, the three accused seized their passports, locked them up and forced them into prostitution.

The first victim, a 15-year-old, said that her friend in school told her there is a job opportunity for her in Dubai with a monthly salary of up to 50,000 Bangladeshi taka (Dh2,300).

She added that she asked her parents, who gave her the approval to travel.

She was shocked when she came to the UAE was locked in, beaten and forced to practice prostitution.

She says she often tried to explain her case to customers so that they could inform the police.

The victims finally got a message to Dubai Police, and the police rescued the two and arrested the three accused.
