A fisherman’s home in Hamptons in New York's Long Island is on sale for more than $1million. He had bought the land for a mere $300 in 1956.
Six decades on, 79-year-old Richard Lester’s modest one-bedroom trailer and a shed crammed with fishing gear, which is surrounded by the rich and famous, including Jerry Seinfeld and Paul McCartney, is set to fetch him a windfall, reported ‘DailyMail’.
Situated just one mile away from the ritzy Indian Wells Beach, the home could be easily transformed into a 4,000sq ft house with a huge swimming pool, the reported quoted a real estate firm as saying.
Lester, who lives with his wife, and continues to work at sea says he is “shocked” at the value of his home. He attributes it to the celebrities and bankers who live around.
