6,658 accidents in Ajman in 3 months

Lieutenant  Shoaib Abdullah Kajor Nuaimi, Director of the Department of Traffic and Patrols at the General Command of Ajman Police revealed that the number of traffic accidents during the first quarter of this year were 6,658, lower than the total number during the same period last year – 6,955.

The number of serious accidents decreased by 8 per cent as compared to Q1 2013 (51) - 47 in 2014.
Five accidents resulted in deaths in Q1 2014 as against 6 in Q1 2013.

Total number of ‘run over’ incidents for the first quarter of this year amounted to 25.

The total number of traffic violations handed out in Q1 2014 were 81,308 as compared to 56,649 given last year during the same period.
