Ajman decree on Human Resources law

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman has issued the Amiri decree no. 1 for 2016, pertaining to the promulgation of the 14-chapter human resources law for the government of Ajman which went into effect from 1st January 2016.

The decree mandates the Human Resources Department (HRD) to oversee regulate the human resources in government entities and to report compliance with law and any other regulations established thereof.

The decree also details duties of the HRD, including provision of advice to the government entities on HR systems and assisting them in implementation of the law and regulations related to human resources.

The decree calls on government entities to coordinate with Ajman government's Department of Finance and the HRD in developing annual recruitment plans, including the titles, grades and remunerations, in accordance with the pay scale annexed to the law's executive regulations or to the terms of the employment contracts of the respective government entities.

The decree shall be published in the official gazette.
