Jordan’s Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour criticised his people over what he described as an unhealthy habit of kissing, saying he believes they are the world’s top kissers.
“I believe that there is no country in the world which has more kissing than Jordan,” he said in a speech at a conference on smoking habits in the capital Amman.
“Any one who knows a country which has more kissing than Jordan should tell me, but I don’t think we will find such a country,” he joked amidst roaring laughter at the conference.
In a YouTube film posted on social networks, he added:”Mashallah (Oh God), our people are totally engrossed in kissing. Why are they doing this? We know that kissing helps transmit diseases, why are you doing this? This is mostly a phoney phenomenon.”
