An Egyptian taxi driver abducted a Syrian woman and raped her along with his friend in an apartment in Cairo before they were both arrested.
The woman had told the driver to take her to a shopping mall but he suddenly changed route and forced her at knife point to go to his friend’s flat.
Newspapers said the driver raped her and then asked his friend to do the same but she begged him to stop, prompting the driver to threaten both of them.
After she was raped, the woman went straight to the police, who managed to find the apartment and identify the two rapists.
The two denied rape charges and said the woman had agreed to go with them. But police they were both detained for interrogation.
