Condolences books for humanitarian work martyrs opened in UAE, overseas diplomatic missions

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation and the UAE diplomatic missions abroad have opened condolence books for the martyrs of humanitarian work who were killed in a terrorist blast in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

The five diplomats killed in the attack were on a mission to carry out humanitarian, educational and developmental projects in the Republic of Afghanistan.

The condolence books will be open from 12th to 16th January at the Ministry's office and the embassies abroad.

Mohammed Mir Abdullah Al Raisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation; Yaqoub Yousuf Al Hosani, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation for International Organisations Affairs, and Shehab Ahmed Al Fahim, Assistant Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry, received the heads of diplomatic missions and ambassadors accredited to the state at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

Senior officials, heads of foreign diplomatic missions, ambassadors and diplomats crowded the Ministry’s office and foreign diplomatic missions overseas to offer their condolences.
