Crackdown on vehicles with expired registration

The Abu Dhabi traffic department has come down heavily on vehicles with expired resigtration card. A zero tolerance policy will be applied for vehicle owners with expiry date stamps on their registration card even if it exceeds by one month, eports Khajeel Times.

Traffic and Patrols Directorate will launch this campaign on September 20. It will stretch out to most internal and external roads in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western region.

The motive is to improve and enhance the traffic safety on roads in order to cut down on the road fatalities and bring it to a lower level.

This campaign will also ensure that all vehicles undergo technical test which denote how valid a car is so as not to pose a danger to the vehicle’s owner and other road users.
