A Saudi woman accused her ex-husband of molesting his two little daughters by force, prompting police to arrest him before releasing him on bail a week later.

The woman said she was told by her daughters, 13 and 7 years, that they had been forced many times by their father to strip off in front of him and sit next to him before he started to caress their bodies in front of their younger brothers.

The unnamed woman also told police that her ex-husband is using violence against his five daughters and four sons at their home in the southern town of Ahad Rafeeda.

Quoted by Alwatan Arabic language daily, she said their father had been jailed for smuggling hashish and Qat, a drug-like herb, before he was released three months later under a Royal pardon in late 2012.

“My two daughters told me he is beating and molesting them…after he was released from prison, I was told he became more violent…I am very worried about my nine children as he is a dangerous man and I am now allowed to see them,” she said.

The paper quoted  human rights activist Hadi Al Yami as saying a letter had been sent to the Emir of the southern province of Asir, Prince Faisal bin Khaled, explaining the ordeal of the two girls and asking him to instruct police to protect that family.
