Emirates Post Group has launched a multi-channel campaign to ensure timely renewal of PO Boxes by subscribers. The campaign urges PO Box holders to complete their renewals for 2016 well before January 31, to avoid late renewal penalties.

Besides print media, EPG says it is actively using social media channels - including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram - to spread awareness about the need for timely renewal and the required procedures.

In a media statement, EPG said PO Boxes can be renewed at all post offices, postal agencies and through its website (www.epg.gov.ae) using credit card. Those renewing at post offices are required to produce their valid Emirates ID card at the time of renewal.

Subscribers who renew after the due date of January 31, 2016, will be charged a fine for late renewal. Those renewing the PO boxes after February 28, 2016, will be allowed to renew only after paying the fines, provided the mailbox has not been transferred to another subscriber.

"We advise all our customers to renew their PO Box subscriptions well before the deadline, in order to avoid last-minute rush as well as to enable them to collect and produce additional documents, if required. We have provided multiple channels for the convenience of customers, including a user-friendly online renewal facility through our website," said Fahad Al Hosani, acting CEO, EPG.

"We are pleased to offer our customers multiple options to renew their PO Boxes. We particularly urge subscribers to use the online renewal facility since it is available 24 hours and saves everybody's time and effort. Subscribers should also note that it is always better to renew well before the due date, in case they need to submit updated documents or ID," added EPG Chief Commercial Officer Ibrahim Bin Karam.
