Doctor accused of raping drugged woman

An Egyptian woman accused an anesthesia doctor of raping her while she was drugged for an appendectomy at a hospital in the Arab country.

The 33-year-old woman said she started to feel pains a few weeks after the operation and tests at another hospital in Cairo showed she was infected with genital herpes, which is transmitted through sexual contact, Egyptian newspapers said.

They said the woman reported the doctor to the police and demanded examination to confirm he is infected with the viral disease.
