Driver avoids deadly plunge, keeps his foot on brake for an hour

In a scary incident, a man in China managed to save himself by keeping his foot firmly on the brake for an hour after he swerved to avoid another car.

The unnamed driver was on his way to work in East China’s Zhejiang Province when the incident happened and although he managed to avoid slamming into another vehicle, his car swept back and went through a wall and rolled down the roadside and fell on to a residential building, reports Yahoo website.

It then broke through the roof and nearly plunged off the cliff leaving it hanging on by just its front wheels.

Driver's quick thinking saved him as he immediately slammed on the brake and kept the car hanging in there by the skin for nearly an hour.

Fortunately, his mobile phone was within reach and he was able to call for help.

The rescue team arrived after he had been hanging for around 45 minutes.

Finally, firefighters managed to secure the car with ropes tied to a tree, which allowed the man to climb out from the driver’s seat.

The vehicle was later hauled up after the driver was taken to hospital where he was deemed to be in a stable condition after the terrifying ordeal.
