Eid: Abu Dhabi police's safety measures
The Directorate General of Police Operations at the Abu Dhabi Police has completed the preparations to welcome the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
The integrated plans include enhancing the security and safety for members of the community and intensifying police patrols in the field.
Major General Omair Muhammad Al Muhairi, Director General of Police Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, stressed the keenness of the Abu Dhabi Police to elevate their efforts to promote security and safety.
He noted that the security plan focuses on directing all police stations to intensify their preparations for Eid and to deploy police patrols around Eid prayer lawns, shopping malls, and markets.
He urged parents to keep an eye on their children and to raise their awareness about the dangers of fireworks. He also urged them not to leave children alone in the cars while shopping or conducting social visits, due to risk of suffocation because of the heat.
Maj. Gen. Al Muhairi also called upon people who are traveling during the Eid vacation to secure their residences before they leave. He said to secure their belongings in secure places, safes or banks; not to leave any valuables in the home; and to notify the watchmen of their absence to ensure the safety of their property.
He also requested that beachgoers take precautions while swimming, to stay away from deep areas, and adhere to the designated swimming areas, which are equipped with security and safety equipment to preserve lives. He stressed that maintaining security is everyone’s responsibility, as he called upon the public to adhere to the police guidelines for their own safety. As for those who love to take trips, he asked that they check the weather condition with the authorities prior to embarking on land or sea trips.
On the occasion of Eid Al Fitr, Maj. Gen. Al Muhairi extended his most sincere wishes of blessings to the higher leadership, and his congratulations to the citizens and residents of the UAE.
