A man died and three people were injured in seven rain-related road accidents in Abu Dhabi.
The dead man was a GCC national in his mid-twenties, while the three ijnured men were Asians.
Lt. Col. Jamal Al Ameri, Head of Public Relations at Abu Dhabi Traffic Police, said that their teams responded to all the accidents within a few minutes, and managed to clear the roads and ease the traffic jams caused by the accidents.
“Initial investigations showed that the accidents happened because of high speed which does not suit wet roads. Another reason for the accidents was not leaving sufficient distance between vehicles,” he added.
