A family of four were returning from Fujairah when tragedy struck.
The car they were travelling in overturned, killing its 10-year-old passenger, and badly injuring his parents and sister.
In an e-mail, the Indian Consulate in Dubai said Srikumar was visiting Fujairah on April 15. "While returning at midnight, his car overturned in hilly area (Al Qadra, 13km from Fujairah). His 10-year-old son died and seven-year-old daughter and wife sustained injuries but are out of danger.
"Srikumar is admitted in ICU in Fujairah Hospital."
The Indian Consulate is in touch with Indian Association Fujairah to complete death formalities.
The spokesperson added that Indian Association Fujairah is assisting in completing formalities. "NOC was obtained from RAK Court and death certificate was issued from Fujairah Ministry of Health and same has been handed over to Krishnan, family friend of Srikumar."
A friend of SreeKumar said doctors are waiting for his condition to stabilise before operating on him.
The family lived in Rolla, Sharjah.
